Children must be potty-trained before moving up to the three-year-old classroom. We support families throughout this process by sharing resources and working together to help each child reach this milestone.

We are open from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM. Families may choose their child’s start time between 6:00 AM and 10:00 AM. The latest drop-off time is 10:00 AM.

We serve breakfast, lunch, and a snack. Families may bring substitute meals only in the case of an allergy and with a doctor’s note. Please refer to your child’s classroom schedule for exact meal times.

For children under age 1, families may provide lunch from home. After age 1, children are expected to eat the meals provided from our menu.

We do not require children to wear a uniform, but we do encourage them to have fun! Children play outside and explore with paint, sand, dirt, and other hands-on materials. We require closed-toe shoes and recommend comfortable clothing that can handle active, sometimes messy play.

We use research-based, validated, play-based curricula with a strong focus on social-emotional learning. For infants and toddlers, we use the Frog Street Curriculum along with the Conscious Discipline framework to support academic learning and social-emotional development.

For preschool classrooms, we use Teaching Strategies GOLD and The Creative Curriculum.

Needs vary by age, but families are generally asked to provide a labeled change of clothes and any personal care items their child requires. Your classroom will provide a complete list before the first day.

We may require a doctor’s note in certain cases, but we do not require one every time a child has a minor illness. However, whenever you take your child to a doctor because of an illness, we recommend asking for a doctor’s note.

All our teachers are CPR and first aid certified. Please let us know if your child has a known allergy, asthma, another medical condition, or requires medication so we can plan staff training accordingly.

We also complete monthly fire evacuation and tornado drills, as well as annual bus evacuation drills for field trips.

We offer a childcare discount for employees. We also help families apply for the Child Care Assistance Program (CCAP) through Illinois Action for Children.
